Treat the cause.
Not just the flakes.
Dandruff is a medical condition — not a hygiene failure. At Rootwise, we identify your exact dandruff type, diagnose the underlying cause, and deliver a targeted clinical protocol for lasting clearance — not just temporary masking with medicated shampoo.

What type of dandruff
do you have?
Effective treatment starts with accurate diagnosis. Each type of dandruff has a different underlying cause and requires a different clinical protocol. We identify yours before prescribing anything.
Seborrhoeic Dermatitis
Oily, yellowish flakes with redness and itching — driven by Malassezia yeast overgrowth on an oily scalp. Responds to targeted antifungal and sebum-regulating treatment.
Dry Scalp Dandruff
Small white flakes without oiliness — caused by a compromised moisture barrier, hard water, or over-washing. Requires deep hydration and barrier repair.
Malassezia-Related
Chronic flaking triggered by fungal proliferation. Responds well to targeted antifungal scalp peels and a prescribed medicated home routine.
Scalp Psoriasis
Thick, silvery or white plaques — a chronic autoimmune condition requiring prescription topicals, keratolytics, and clinical anti-inflammatory protocols.

The Rootwise approach to dandruff
We don’t prescribe a shampoo and send you home. Our protocol addresses the underlying cause, restores scalp balance, and builds long-term resistance to recurrence.
What our clients
say about us
"I'd tried every anti-dandruff shampoo on the shelf with no luck. The trichoscopy at Roeewise actually showed what was going on with my scalp. Three sessions of the antifungal peel later, the flaking is gone completely."
"My scalp was so itchy and inflamed I couldn't sleep some nights. The medicated active infusion at Roeewise calmed it down within two sessions. The doctor explained exactly why it kept coming back."
"Years of redness and chronic irritation on my scalp, and nothing seemed to help long-term. The LED phototherapy sessions changed that completely. I'm finally not self-conscious about flaking on dark clothes."
"Dandruff plus hair fall together had me really worried. The clinical diagnosis showed it was linked, and the treatment plan addressed both. My scalp finally feels balanced and my hair fall has slowed down too."
"What I liked most was the prescription home regime — the medicated shampoo and serum kept the results going between my clinic visits. Six months on and the dandruff hasn't come back at all."
"Came in just for a scalp check and ended up doing the full dandruff program. The zinc pyrithione peel alone made a visible difference after the first sitting. The team is hygienic, patient, and really know their stuff."
Everything you
need to know
Questions about dandruff treatment? Our specialists have heard them all.
Why hasn't medicated shampoo cured my dandruff?
OTC medicated shampoos work on the scalp surface but cannot penetrate the dermis where the real triggers reside. They also don’t address the underlying microbiome imbalance, sebum dysregulation, or immune response driving chronic dandruff. Our treatments deliver actives at the right depth — plus proper diagnosis ensures you’re treating the right type.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients require 4–6 sessions spaced every 2 weeks, with improvement visible from session 2–3. Severe or autoimmune cases (psoriasis) may need longer protocols. All patients receive a home-care prescription to complement in-clinic treatment.
Can dandruff cause hair fall?
Yes. Chronic scalp inflammation from seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff directly damages follicles and contributes to hair thinning over time. Treating dandruff resolves both the flaking and the associated hair fall as a result.
Can dandruff come back after treatment?
Seborrhoeic dermatitis and fungal dandruff have a tendency to recur, especially under stress or seasonal changes. Monthly maintenance sessions and the prescribed home routine significantly reduce recurrence rates. We counsel all patients on long-term management strategies.
